We are fast approaching the end of another busy year.
Exciting news is that at long last we are in the process of establishing a branch in the Cape. A seminar will take place on Friday 20 October 2006 at the Panorama Medi-Clinic, Seminar Room 2A (2nd Floor). Rothschild Boulevard, PAROW
The topic will be: Medical Accidents – Important Recent Legal Developments.
The main speakers will be Adv. André Oosthuizen (SC) (Cape Bar),
Prof Barene Welmann, Retired Head: Department of Nursing Science, Medical School (US)
Prof Pieter Castens, Professor of Criminal and Medical Law,
Department of Public Law, (UP)
This promises to be an exciting topic. The SAMLS EXCO members will also be attending this function. Please let your friends and interested parties know about this seminar. I, as president will be giving the opening address.

Another important date to remember is our Annual General Meeting.
The AGM will be held on Friday 17 November 2006

Time:- 19:00 – 21:00
Our guest speaker will be Mr.Willem Punt, Director Ethics SA. The evening will end with dinner.
This is an important meeting as decisions regarding the way forward have to be discussed. A new EXCO committee must also be elected. Please consider carefully whom you would like to elect onto this committee.
